HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer - D110a
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Photosmart D110 printer went offline when we upgraded from cable to fiber...Printer says wireless status is good but still won't communicate with other devices via wireless process.

I've uninstalled, turned printer and computer on and off, lots of processes with HP assistant etc.

HP doesn't appear to support this model.

Please advise.

@Mommalou5, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand the printer is not connected to the wireless network.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. This model printer supports 2.4GHz network only.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
  • This printer supports WPA encryption, check if the router is on the same encryption method. If using WEP or WPA-PSK+FT change it to WPA-PSK

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

I have a HP photosmart D110 that will not accept network password which is correct.  Have a new netgear router that I am trying to connect.  Previously had a fairly new netgear with no problem connecting to printer.  All other devices have connected to router with no problem.  Network band on printer is correct.  I have followed your instructions along with many other web suggestions to no avail.  IP address  for router is 192.168.1.1 and printer is 192.168.0.21.  Could this be the problem?  Would appreciate any help in solving this problem!!

The IP address has no issues here. Check the following:

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. This model printer supports 2.4GHz network only.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
  • This printer supports WPA encryption, check if the router is on the same encryption method. If using WEP or WPA-PSK+FT change it to WPA-PSK

Let me know how it goes.

my HP Photosmart printer is offline due to switch to 5G.  Having issues with downloading drivers on new machines in an attempt to use the printer with a direct cable connection to the computer vs wireless.

can’t seem to get download of drivers from the HP website to work.  Used old disc given at purchase but can’t seem to figure out how to get that to work with newer laptop.

suggestions?
great printer. Hate to not keep it going.

thanks

As mentioned in my post, this model printer supports 2.4GHz network only.

Due to the age of the printer, there is no printer driver available for Win 11 on the HP Support site.

Install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how. Try printing. Use Deskjet 990c driver if your printer is not listed.

Refer to this document HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver) for help.

If this does not help, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Printer will not connect to network.  Printer panel shows correct network (Netgear14) but when I enter network password printer has message "password invalid".  I have a dual broadband, Netgear 14 is 2.4GHz and Netgear14-5G is 5GHz.  Both have the same password.  Is this a problem?

My router has a WPS button which I have tried using to connect printer but get the same "password invalid" message.

@Gaga21

Having same password for both the bands will not cause an issue. However, the names should be different.

Also, this printer supports WPA encryption, check if the router is on the same encryption method. If using WEP or WPA-PSK+FT change it to WPA-PSK

You can check this with your Internet service provider.

Let me know how it goes.
