Hi @MM_1318

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP  515 All-in-One printer is having frequent Wi-Fi connectivity issues, and it's not printing from both your HP laptop and iPhone, even though they are connected to the same network. This kind of problem is often caused by a variety of factors, from Wi-Fi interference to printer settings or software issues. Let's go through a series of steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue.

1. Ensure Strong and Stable Wi-Fi Connection

The printer might be losing connectivity due to Wi-Fi issues, such as weak signal strength or interference. Here’s what to check:

Check Wi-Fi Signal

  • Positioning of the Printer: Ensure that the printer is not too far from your Wi-Fi router. Ideally, it should be within a 15–20 feet radius of the router.
  • Wi-Fi Band: If your router has both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, try connecting the printer to the 2.4 GHz band, as it offers better range for devices that are farther away.

Router Restart

  • Restart both your Wi-Fi router and printer to reset the connection. Sometimes, this helps resolve minor connectivity issues.

Interference from Other Devices

  • Other wireless devices (like microwave ovens, cordless phones, or other routers) may cause interference with your printer's connection. Try to keep the printer and router away from such devices.

2. Update Printer Firmware and Drivers

Make sure your printer is running the latest firmware and that your drivers are up to date.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Go to the HP Support website and find the latest firmware update for your HP Tankjet 515 All-in-One printer.
  • Download and install the firmware update by following the instructions.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • On your HP laptop, go to Device Manager and update the drivers for the printer.
  • Alternatively, you can go to the HP Support website to download the latest drivers for your operating system.

3. Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi Network

If the printer frequently disconnects, it may need to be reconnected to the Wi-Fi network:

Reconfigure Wi-Fi Settings on Printer:

  1. Factory Reset Printer’s Network Settings:
    • Navigate to the printer’s control panel.
    • Find the Network Settings or Wi-Fi Setup option and select Restore Default Network Settings or Reset Network Settings.
  2. Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
    • After resetting, go to the Wi-Fi Setup Wizard on your printer.
    • Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to reconnect the printer to the network.

Use HP Smart App (Optional):

  • Download the HP Smart app on your phone or laptop to help with setup and network connection.
  • Follow the instructions in the app to reconnect your printer to the network.

I hope this helps.
