HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer

^HP send me emails saying the printer is offline. In instant ink it says "Unable to connect to the printer.
Check your connection and try again later." But it routinely updates the page count. And an up to date print history. Is this just another example of lousy HP software or firmware?

To emphasise: it is connected, HP Instant Ink is logging pages printed OK, but Instant Ink says 'can't connect' even when it obviously has connected to count the pages. Hopeless

View your page count and payment history

  1. Sign into your account:

  2. Click HP Instant Ink, then Print and Payment History in the left menu.

Can you log in?

No problem logging in and viewing history etc. It's just the email saying it's not connected, and Instant Ink saying can't connect. I think it's working OK apart from these daft messages.

As expected, it was an HP software glitch which appears to have corrected itself
