We have tried the factory reset method, and also the wifi reset method but nothing works.
1. when tried factory reset when it gets to the part where I hold down the information button and the cancel button until I see the wifi light flicking, that doesn't happen.  No wifi light comes up. 
2. Tried the Wifi setup method, but the printer is not detected on the app. 
3. Tried removing the printer from the profile and am now unable to add it back through the Serial number/ product number.
Help!

I understand that you are trying to connect the printer to WiFi, I am glad to assist you.

Restore the printer network settings from the printer control panel

Connect the printer to WiFi using the HP Smart app:- Click here
