Hi @Rodge1966,

I understand your HP 2755e printer intermittently shows flashing lights and appears offline, even though it works fine after restarting. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Power cycle the printer
Turn the printer off and unplug it from the power source for at least 60 seconds.
Plug it back in and power it on to refresh internal settings.

Restart the Wi-Fi router
Unplug the router for 30–60 seconds, then power it back on.
Intermittent connectivity can often be caused by the router or network interference.

Check wireless signal strength
Ensure the printer is within range of the Wi-Fi router.
Avoid placing the printer behind metal objects or too far from the router.

Assign a static IP to the printer
Open the printer’s control panel or HP Smart app and assign a static IP address.
This prevents the printer from losing connection if the router reassigns IPs.

Update printer firmware
Connect the printer to the network and check for updates in HP Smart or via Settings → Printer Maintenance.
Firmware updates can improve connectivity stability.

Verify power-saving or sleep settings
Check the printer’s sleep or auto-off timer in its settings.
Short sleep timers can sometimes make the printer appear offline.

Check for interference or crowded Wi-Fi channels
Other wireless devices, microwaves, or neighboring Wi-Fi networks can cause intermittent disconnections.
Changing the Wi-Fi channel on your router may help.

I hope this helps.
