The 2800 uses Wi-Fi or USB so you will need an adapter.
You can use a USB print server. Be sure to check ratings and get one that has good documentation and support.
if the printer cannot be adjacent to the modem / router then you will need a powerline ethernet adapter.
Powerline adapters are explained here
Typical power line adapters are here
Note that powerline adapters cannot be put on a surge protector or be between any type of surge protection as that will block the ethernet signal from reaching the printer.

I have a collection of videos and advice that might make it easier to connect your 2800e with Wi-Fi
is this a flex system with multiple wi-fi boosters / repeats or a simple home network?
