My HP 6000e Printer is connected to my Windows 11 PC via USB and is fully functional. However, its lights are flashing all the time: a flash of yellow, followed by a flash of blue, which separates into two flashes and spreads, then yellow again, etc.
The Wifi button also constantly flashes which of course indicates the printer is not connected via Wifi.
What must I do to stop the flashing lights? Can the Wifi flashing light be disabled? I've no need for a WiFi connection. (this printer was previously set up for Wifi, but is no longer. HP Smart Troubleshooter says everything is OK).
Finally, perhaps related to the flashing light problem, the paper tray support extension which catches and supports printed pages is extended and I cannot figure out how it is supposed to retract. Does the printer retract this?

The lights were associated with the incomplete Wifi setup. I don't need the wifi, but the printer apparently won't keep blinking usless you set it up. HP wants to know what you are doing.
The extended paper tray support can be manually returned by needs some lubrication. People said they used silicone and WD-40 (other posts on these boards).
