Hi @patience41nce ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer is having trouble connecting to your WiFi router,
here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Restart Devices: Begin by restarting your printer and WiFi router. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix connectivity issues.
- Check WiFi Settings: Ensure that your WiFi router is functioning properly and that other devices can connect to it without any issues.
- Move Closer: Place your printer closer to the WiFi router during the setup process to ensure a strong signal.
- Check Network Name and Password: Double-check the SSID (network name) and password you are entering during the setup process. Ensure they are correct and case-sensitive.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can often resolve connectivity issues.
- Reset Printer Network Settings: You can reset the network settings on your printer and then set up the WiFi connection again from scratch. This option is usually found in the printer's settings menu under network or wireless settings.
- Use HP Smart App: If available, use the HP Smart app to set up the printer. It can sometimes simplify the setup process and provide troubleshooting steps.
- Disable Firewall/Antivirus Temporarily: Sometimes, security software can interfere with the printer setup process. Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer and try setting up the printer again.
