HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-In-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have connected my printer to WIFI (TP-Link Deco as mesh extenders, connected to 3G/4G router Archer MR600), I also registered for Instant Ink.

Constantly receive message that my printer is not connected to internet - it also happens whenever I try to click on Instant-Ink in HP smart, have deleted WIFI and reconnected several times, it simply doesn't help.

Look forward to getting some expert advises, thank you.

Hi @PaulXu,

I'd like to help!

I understand you are receiving "printer not connected to the internet" error

The router is probably not configured in the bridge mode. This could be a NAT issue which means multiple routers are handing out IP addresses and causing a conflict. Bridge mode means the router acts as purely an access point and not a router. I'd recommend you contact ISP to resolve an error.

Please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Keep me posted.

So HP instant ink is not compatible with CGNAT or NAT? If this is the case why would HP make a printer use an outdated protocol that requires ports to be forwarded? This opens up the printer to being hacked right? A lot of smaller ISPs or even Starlink use NAT so it is not that easy of a fix.
