Help.  HP8600 not working. Trying to setup for wifi -- error > No filtering >> FAIL

Makes sure your modem supports 

802.11 b/g/n

not just 

802.11 g/n

as discussed here

 

Another possibility is this error can occurs on flex system:  systems that have multiple wifi boosters / repeaters

possibly a reset may help

i do not know if you have the pro version or not as there is different software
