@SteveA6, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since you've already tried troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, here are some additional steps that often help resolve persistent offline issues with the HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e on Windows 10:

Disable "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

This setting can cause the printer to go offline after standby.

  • Open Device Manager
  • Expand Network adapters
  • Right-click your Wi-Fi or Ethernet adapter > Properties
  • Go to the Power Management tab
  • Uncheck: "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
  • Click OK

Set a Static IP for the Printer

Dynamic IPs can change and cause the printer to go offline.

  • Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer
  • Note the current IP address
  • Open a browser and enter the IP to access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS)
  • Go to Network > IPv4 Configuration
  • Select Manual IP, and enter the current IP, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway
  • Save settings

Disable SNMP in Printer Port Settings

SNMP can sometimes cause Windows to misreport the printer status.

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  • Right-click your printer > Printer Properties
  • Go to the Ports tab > Select the port your printer uses > Click Configure Port
  • Uncheck: "SNMP Status Enabled"
  • Click OK

Use HP Smart App’s “Diagnose & Fix” Tool

Even if you've used HP Print and Scan Doctor, the HP Smart app has a newer tool:

  • Download or open the HP Smart app
  • Go to Settings (wrench icon) > Diagnose & Fix
  • Follow the prompts

Check Windows Services

Ensure the Print Spooler service is running:

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, press Enter
  • Find Print Spooler, right-click > Restart
  • Set Startup Type to Automatic
