I updated the firmware to the 20140616 release and now I don't have a USB connection between the printer and PC

Finally got my HP wireless printer working. HP solutions didn't work but Windows 10 did. After attaching my printer through the internet connection to my Deco X55 then Windows was able to find it in my add printer setup. None of the HP solutions worked eg., HPSmart, HP Print and Scan Dr, and HP Support Assistant. Maybe they work in some instances but I wasn't able to get them to do any good for my situation. Wireless is an absolute no go since I could never get the printer to be visible to the network. USB worked fine but not the total solution for access by different hardware that can access my network.

I fixed the USB connection problem, it was a bad USB cable. However, I want to connect this printer as wireless through my Deco X55 system but after going into the wireless setup on the printer and entering the password and running network test which shows everything to be OK, I try the WPS button connection but the process fails. I have turned off fast roaming and set everything to 2.4 Ghz on the Deco but nothing works.

Hi @jmerritt0921,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with connecting your Printer to the network.
Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again.
1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Thx for the reply but without being able for my Deco network to "see" my HP printer nothing that HP offers for setup will work. I would think just turning of wireless would make the printer discoverable but that is not the case contrary to your point in (2), it is not discoverable.

In my previous post I stated that my printer is not discoverable even with wireless turned on. I can see the control panel wireless indicator "polling" but I wonder if the printer isn't broadcasting contrary to the indicator.
