Dear Community,

I exported the self-signed cert from the printer's web browser and deployed it via GPO to all client computers.

On Google Chrome, when I visit the printer's gui I get "Your connection is not private, NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID.

But when I visit the GUI on Edge, it doesn't throw an error and says the connection to the server is encrypted. All clients use Google Chrome and not Edge so I would like to fix this.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Looks like I need to add the IP address to the subject alternative names. Anyone know how I can do this? Or if there is a much easier way (work around) that would be appreciated.

Try clearing the browsing history and ensure you have the latest Google Chrome updated

  • Open Chrome and click on the menu (the three vertical dots in the top right hand corner of the browser).
  • In the dropdown menu, click Settings.
  • Toward the end of the page, click on advanced.
  • In the “Privacy and security” box, select “Clear browsing data”.

Hello again,

I've cleared my Cache on Google Chrome but it didn't help.

I looked at the instructions in that link but it seems to want me to login to the admin console which is only for G Suite users (unless I am confused).

Thanks!
