HP OfficeJet 5222 All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

I normally print 2-3 times a month. Every time I observe the printer got disconnected from wi-fi and blue light is blinking. It doesn't recognize any wi-fi networks in the wireless setup wizard. When I try to shut it down it just keep spinning, after 4-5 minutes I unplug it from power outlet and start the printer. Then it auto connects to home wi-fi. I restarted internet modem/router and printer, but I couldn't get printer stay connected to wi-fi when I needed to print something. I notice two problems when it happens,

1) No wi-fi networks found in wireless setup wizard.

2) Shutdown doesn't respond, just keeps spinning.

Looks like the printer automatically goes into unresponsive state, and I had to reboot by unplugging from outlet. let me know if anyone solved this issue. thanks.

@sri9185

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help.

Check with your Internet service provider if your router is able to forward 'Bonjour packets'.  Bonjour locates devices such as printers, other computers, and the services that those devices offer on a local network using multicast Domain Name System (mDNS) service records. The software comes built-in with Apple's macOS and iOS operating systems. Also, ask about the encryption type on your network.

Thanks 🙂

Thanks @Betty0610 for reply. But I am wondering why on restart it will work again.  Also as I mentioned the wireless setup wizard become unresponsive too. This isn't issue while printing, it become unresponsive after a day or two, even shutdown of printer doesn't work that time. This problem wasn't there for a year since I bought the printer, recently started happening. Xfinity modems are used every home, my friends didn't face this issue.

Thanks @Betty0610. I marked it as solution. It's been 4 days since reset, so far wi-fi staying connected.
