Hi @Scooter425

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

A blank screen on your HP ENVY 4520 printer can be frustrating. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check the Power Connection

Ensure the printer is plugged directly into a working wall outlet (avoid power strips or surge protectors).

Try a different outlet to rule out power issues.

2. Perform a Power Reset

Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.

Wait for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

3. Inspect the Power Cable

Check the power cable for any visible damage. If damaged, it may need to be replaced.

4. Update Firmware (if possible)

HP regularly releases new firmware versions for printer enhancements, app updates, or issue fixes. Update the firmware regularly to get the most out of your printer.

Click on the link below for instructions on how to update the firmware of your printer.

5. Factory Reset

If the screen remains blank, perform a factory reset:

On the printer, press and hold the Power button and the Cancel button simultaneously for 10-15 seconds.

Release the buttons and wait for the printer to restart.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
