Hi @Anj182,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP DeskJet 3755 is experiencing an issue where it's printing a black page with lines, and it seems to be doing so on its own. Here’s a structured approach to troubleshoot and fix this issue, especially considering that you need it for school tomorrow:
1. Stop the Printing Process
- Cancel Print Jobs:
- If your printer is printing automatically, try to cancel the current print jobs. You can do this from the printer’s control panel or through your computer:
- On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select See what's printing. Cancel any ongoing print jobs.
- On macOS: Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click on Open Print Queue. Cancel the print jobs.
- If your printer is printing automatically, try to cancel the current print jobs. You can do this from the printer’s control panel or through your computer:
2. Check Printer Settings
- Verify Printer Settings:
- Ensure that there are no settings that could be causing the printer to print automatically. This might include scheduled print tasks or a print job stuck in the queue.
3. Inspect the Ink Cartridges
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Make sure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated in their correct positions. Remove and reinsert them if necessary.
Verify Ink Levels:
- Even though you’re subscribed to HP Instant Ink, check the ink levels through the printer software or control panel to ensure that the cartridges have enough ink.
4. Run Printer Maintenance
Perform a Printhead Cleaning:
- Use the printer’s maintenance options to clean the printhead. This can help resolve issues with lines or inconsistent printing.
Align Printheads:
- If your printer offers a printhead alignment option, run it to ensure that the printheads are properly aligned.
5. Update Printer Drivers
- Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your HP DeskJet 3755. Visit the HP Support website to download and install the most recent drivers for your printer model.
6. Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on. This can help reset the printer and clear temporary issues.
7. Check for Firmware Updates:
- Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer on the HP Support website. Updating the firmware can resolve bugs and improve printer performance.
8. Check for Software Conflicts
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
