Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I have been using my Officejet Pro 8600 for a number of years and have had never had a problem connecting wireless.  It just stopped working and will not print anything from my laptop, desktop iphone or ipad so I know the problem is with the printer. Neither my windows computer or apple devices can find the printer name on the network.

I have powered down my modem, wireless router, printer and laptop several times. I've unplugged them and replugged them in. Nothings changed.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer.  I have run the Wireless Printer Setup Wizard a few times and it says the printer has connected successfully but it is not communicating

I have run the wireless network test which passes in all criteria, and says the signal quality is very good. I can clearly see the Wireless Icon next to the LCD control panel is not lit which I know should be. I have tried everything possible. Do I have a hardware issue?

I would very much appreciate your help!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's reset the network settings on the Printer: Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored.

Once done, connect the Printer to the Wi-Fi: 1. Set up the printer hardware. See the getting started guide or the setup poster that came with your printer. 2. On the printer control panel, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network. 3. Touch Wireless, touch Wireless Setup Wizard, and then touch OK. 4. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.

Let me know if this helps.
