Hi @Blszer54,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble connecting your HP DeskJet 2855e to your new WOW internet service, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve this issue:

Check Printer and Network Compatibility:

  • Make sure the printer and computer or mobile device are on the same network band. If your router supports dual bands, ensure both devices are connected to either the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network. Since WOW deactivated the 5G, make sure you're connecting to the 2.4 GHz network.

Use HP App for Printer Setup:

  • Ensure you have the latest version of the HP app. This app is crucial for setting up your printer wirelessly.

Printer Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • To activate the Wi-Fi setup mode, reset the network settings on the printer:
    • Press and hold the Wireless button (it looks like a small antenna) and the Cancel button at the same time until the Power light blinks. This should reset network settings and enable Wi-Fi setup mode.
  • Search for networks again through the HP app.

Use Manual Wi-Fi Setup:

  • If your modem does not have a WPS button, manual network entry using the HP app is necessary:
    • Open the HP app, and select “Set up a new printer”.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to manually enter your Wi-Fi network SSID and password.

Printer Information Page:

  • Since the Information Page did not show the IP address, ensure you are printing it correctly:
    • Hold the Information button (a little "i" icon) until all lights on the control panel blink once. This should print out the correct information page.

Accessing the Embedded Web Server:

  • Once you manage to retrieve the printer's IP address, you can open a web browser and enter the IP address to access the Embedded Web Server to check settings directly.

Router and Printer Reboot:

  • Reboot both the router and printer. Unplug the router and printer, wait for about 30 seconds, then plug them back in and restart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
