How can I obtain an extended warranty for my HP printer?

I was finally able to get assistance, but I would like to obtain an extended warranty on my printer, which shows out of warranty

Welcome to the HP English Community --

An "extension", or Care Pack Extended Warranty contract, generally requires the original Warranty is still active.

If your device (printer) is already out of Warranty, you cannot usually purchase an extended warranty.

If your warranty expired less than a short time ago - what?  Maybe a week or so?? -

Then sure, maybe.

Out-of-Warranty devices might be eligible for an "after warranty" contract.

Be aware that these types of contracts are not the same as the original HP Warranty, nor are they like an HP Care Pack contract.
