Hi @Lewis904,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you want to change the Wi-Fi password on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28w printer, you will need to access the printer's web interface. Here are the general steps to help you change the Wi-Fi password.
Connect to the Printer's Wi-Fi Direct:
- Turn on the printer.
- Look for the Wi-Fi Direct option in your printer settings.
- Connect your mobile device to the Wi-Fi Direct network of the printer.
Access the Web Interface:
- Open a web browser on your mobile device.
- Enter the printer's IP address in the address bar. You can find the IP address on the printer's display or by printing a configuration page.
- If prompted, enter the default username and password. You can find this information in the printer's manual or on the configuration page.
Change Wi-Fi Settings:
- Once logged in, navigate to the wireless or network settings.
- Look for an option to change the Wi-Fi password.
- Enter the new Wi-Fi password and save the changes.
Reconnect Your Devices:
- After changing the Wi-Fi password, reconnect your phone and other devices to the printer using the new password.
If you are unable to access the web interface or if the default credentials are not working, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer. However, this will erase all custom settings, and you'll need to set up the printer again from scratch.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
