How can I update printer without internet?

Printer is locked and won’t let me print unless I connect and update.  I don’t have access to internet and have always connected from my iPhone to HP wifi printer.

How can I print or even make a copy, without connecting to the internet?

If the printer is not connected to the internet, you will have to download the printer firmware to a USB flash drive and use a computer to connect the printer and update it.

It cannot be done from an iPhone. 

To print and scan, you may follow the steps mentioned in this document - HP printer setup (Wi-Fi Direct)

Note: There will be no internet connection on the iPhone while using this option.

To make copies, you do not require internet or an iPhone/computer.
