How do I change my log in password for the HP Smart app on my desktop?  I was able to change my email for my log in but i can't find anywhere to change my password.  I've checked the settings, my account, everywhere but can't find a way to change the password.  Can someone help?  I have an Officejet Pro 8035e

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

Your HP Account is not tied to the printer.

Be aware that when you change your HP Account password, it changes more than just your HP Smart application sign-in.

If you are not sure, think - then act.

Although it is not generally recommended, I think you should temporarily write down your new password - verify and make sure you type it in correctly.

Open website and sign into HP Smart Account / Dashboard

Click on your user account name (upper right corner of the webpage)

Click on My HP Account

Select Tab Security

Under Authentication

Click Change to edit your password

At the least, changing the HP Account Password means you will have to sign into your HP Smart application again.
