Hi @WEWJ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To change the email address of your HP OfficeJet 3830 printer, you'll need to update the email settings through HP's ePrint service, accessible via your HP Smart account. Here’s how you can do it.
Log in to HP Smart:
- Open a web browser and go to HP Smart.
- Log in using the account associated with your printer. If you don’t have an account, create one and register your printer.
Access Your Printer Settings:
- Once logged in, click on "Printers" or your printer’s name from the dashboard.
- This will take you to the printer’s settings page.
Update the Email Address:
- Look for the ePrint Settings or Web Services section.
- Select Change Email Address or Personalize ePrint Address.
- Enter the desired email address. If it’s available, it will be updated immediately. If it’s already taken, you’ll need to choose another one.
Save the Changes:
- After entering the new email address, save your changes. Your printer’s email address is now updated.
Note:
- Requirements: Make sure your printer is connected to the internet, and Web Services are enabled.
- Availability: The email address format is typically name@hpeprint.com. You can choose a name that reflects your preference as long as it's available.
- If you encounter any issues, reset Web Services and re-enable them, then reattempt the steps above.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
