Hi @Angela179,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect your HP DeskJet 2720e printer to your new EE router, you'll need to update the Wi-Fi network settings on the printer. Here's a general guide on how to do this.
Using the Printer's Control Panel (if your printer has a display panel)
Power on your printer and make sure it's in a ready state.
Press the Wireless button or go into the Settings menu (depending on your printer model, the button might have different icons like a wireless icon or a gear icon).
Navigate to the Wi-Fi Setup or Wireless Setup option using the arrow keys.
Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks. You might need to enter your Wi-Fi password at this stage.
Once connected, the printer will display a confirmation or a Wi-Fi symbol indicating the connection is successful.
Using HP Smart App (if available for your printer model)
Download and Install HP Smart from the app store on your smartphone or tablet. It's available for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS.
Open HP Smart and tap on the (+) sign to add your printer.
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to Wi-Fi. This usually involves selecting your Wi-Fi network, entering the password, and allowing the printer to connect.
Additional Tips:
- Make sure your router is broadcasting its SSID (network name).
- Double-check the Wi-Fi password for your EE router to ensure you're entering it correctly.
- Sometimes routers have both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands with different names. Make sure your printer is connecting to the same band your device (phone, computer) is using.
Following these steps should get your HP DeskJet 2720e connected to your EE router.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
