Hi @Jhalietti,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To change the Wi-Fi network or modem settings for your printer, follow these general steps:
Access Printer Menu: On the printer's control panel, navigate to the settings or network menu. The exact steps may vary depending on your printer model, but there should be an option to access network settings.
Select Wi-Fi Setup: Look for an option related to Wi-Fi setup or network setup. This may be labeled differently depending on your printer model.
Connect to New Network: Choose the option to connect to a new Wi-Fi network. Your printer may scan for available networks automatically or prompt you to enter the network name (SSID) and password manually.
Enter Network Information: If prompted, enter the SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and password for the new Wi-Fi network. Use the printer's control panel or touchscreen to input the information.
Confirm Connection: Once you've entered the network information, confirm the settings and allow the printer to connect to the new Wi-Fi network. It may take a moment for the connection to be established.
Test Connection: After connecting to the new Wi-Fi network, print a network configuration page or perform a test print to ensure that the printer is successfully connected to the network and can communicate with your computer or other devices.
If you're also changing the modem or router itself, make sure that the new modem/router is properly set up and configured with the correct network settings. Ensure that the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password are entered correctly to avoid any connectivity issues.
If you're unable to connect to the new Wi-Fi network or if you're encountering issues with the printer cable connection, consider the following additional steps:
Reset Printer Network Settings: If you're having trouble connecting to the new Wi-Fi network, you may need to reset the printer's network settings to factory defaults. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a network reset.
Update Printer Firmware: Make sure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates include improvements or fixes related to network connectivity. Check the HP website for firmware updates and follow the instructions to update your printer's firmware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
