Hi @floyd1966,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.

To reset the IP address on your HP DeskJet 2635 printer and connect it to a new Wi-Fi network, you'll need to follow a series of steps. Here's a general guide to help you through the process:

Note: The specific steps may vary slightly depending on your printer's firmware and the model of your printer, but this should give you a good starting point.

Prepare Your New Wi-Fi Network:

  • Make sure your new Wi-Fi network is set up and functioning correctly. You should have the network name (SSID) and the Wi-Fi password handy.

Reset Network Settings on the Printer:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the "Wireless" or "Network" settings. The exact steps may vary, but you typically need to press the "Wireless" or "Setup" button on your printer.
  • Look for an option to "Restore Network Defaults" or "Reset Network Settings." Select this option and confirm your choice. This will clear the old network settings.

Run Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • After resetting the network settings, you should see a message or prompt on the printer's display that says something like "Wireless not set up" or "Connect printer to network."
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the Wi-Fi connection. You will likely be prompted to select your new Wi-Fi network from a list of available networks and enter the Wi-Fi password.

Enter Wi-Fi Password:

  • When prompted, enter the Wi-Fi password for your new network using the printer's control panel or keypad.

Connect to New Network:

  • The printer will attempt to connect to the new Wi-Fi network. This may take a minute or two.

Confirm Connection:

  • Once the printer successfully connects to the new Wi-Fi network, you should see a confirmation message on the printer's display.

Print a Network Configuration Page (Optional):

  • To verify that the printer is connected to the correct network and has obtained an IP address, you can print a network configuration page. This page will provide information about the printer's network settings, including its IP address.

Update Printer Software (Optional):

  • If you have installed HP printer software on your computer, you may need to update the printer's connection settings to match the new network. This can usually be done through the HP printer software on your computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
