I have changed my broadband supplier, so I have a new router with a new password. And I cannot find out how to connect my printer to the new home network.

Hi @12Sveinung,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer's connectivity!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

  1. First, using the HP Smart App is the easiest way. Download and open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer. If your printer is still connected to the old network, reset its network settings by pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button for 5 seconds until the light blinks. Then, open HP Smart and click "Set Up a New Printer." Follow the instructions to select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the new password.

  2. If your router supports it, you can use WPS. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on your printer until it starts blinking. Then, press the WPS button on your Wi-Fi router within 2 minutes. Wait for the Wi-Fi light to stop blinking—this means the printer is connected!

  3. For a manual setup using the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button until the Power light blinks. On your computer, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the temporary HP-Setup network. Open a browser and type in 192.168.223.1. Click on Network Setup, then Wireless Settings, and enter your new Wi-Fi name and password.

  4. After reconnecting, it's a good idea to print a Network Configuration Report by holding the Information button for a few seconds. This will confirm if the connection is successful.

Hope this helps! 📶
