I want to delete my HP community forum account, and although I spent a lotta lotta time trying find out how to do it and  couldn't.  I found a post from 2015 where someone asked the same question, and the reply was as follows:

  1. Clicking on the gear icon on the Metro screen.
  2. Now scroll down and click on More settings tab.
  3. Click on Add or remove user accounts under User accounts and Family Safety category
  4. Click on the user you would like to delete/remove
  5. Click on Delete the account tab. located to the left
  6. The following window prompts you weather to keep or delete files in User’s document.

If you don’t want to keep the files, they will be saved on the admin desktop and all files will be kept in a folder with the user name which you are intended to delete/remove.

  1. Click on “Delete Account” button to complete the process.

I got to step 2 but couldn't find the 'More settings tab', so couldn't move on to the next stage.

Information about account deletion needs to be updated and made easily accessible and available for HP customers who want to delete their account from HP online customer service/community support.  So could someone help me please?

If anyone can help me then thanks.

I've removed your "same question" messages you posted earlier.

No need to re-post again.

Thanks.

Original Content

Welcome to the HP Community.

The procedure you included in your message explains how to add / remove a local or Windows account to the computer.

For those reading: "Metro" screen is an (possibly Windows 😎 term for the Windows Start menu (Windows key).

You cannot remove your HP Account using any "remove user account" method on your computer.

What to do?

Wait - a moderator will take care initiating the actions necessary to remove your HP Account from the HP Community.

If you also wish to remove any access to other HP logins, that is part of that same general process.

I will tag your message for Review.
