Hi @sbstacy99,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Performing a hard reset on an HP printer can sometimes resolve various issues or errors. To do a hard reset on an HP Envy Photo 7858 printer, follow these steps.
- Ensure that the printer is turned on.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer. If you can't reach the back, you can also unplug it from the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 30 seconds to a minute to allow any residual power to drain from the printer.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet or surge protector.
- Turn the printer back on by pressing the power button.
- The printer should now perform a hard reset, which clears any temporary errors or issues. It may take a minute or two for the printer to fully initialize and become ready for use.
After the hard reset, you can check if the issues you were experiencing have been resolved.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
