I had my printer on a wifi network which no longer exists, I attempted to change the WiFi network on the printer itself on the HP Smart app, but it directed me to set up a printer. I attempted to do so but the printer would not in options, the app guided me to a page that said to make sure the printer was connected to the same network as my device, however I do not know how to troubleshoot/reset the WiFi settings so that i can access the printer

Hi @jaredmohan ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the WiFi settings on your HP Deskjet 2775 when it's connected to a network that no longer exists, you can follow these general steps. Keep in mind that the exact steps may vary slightly, and it's recommended to refer to the printer's user manual for specific instructions.
Check the Printer Display:
- On the printer, navigate through the menu or display settings.
- Look for an option related to network settings, wireless setup, or connectivity.
Reset Network Settings:
- Once you find the network settings, there might be an option to reset or delete the existing WiFi configuration.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the network settings.
WPS Button (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):
- Some printers have a WPS button that allows you to connect to a new WiFi network easily.
- Check your printer for a WPS button and press it. Then, follow the WPS setup on your router (if applicable).
Use HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your mobile device.
- Remove the existing printer if it's still listed.
- Add a new printer and follow the setup instructions. The app should guide you through connecting the printer to a new WiFi network.
Manual Setup on Printer:
- If the above steps don't work, you may need to perform a manual setup.
- Find the WiFi settings on the printer and enter the new WiFi network details manually.
Factory Reset (Optional):
- As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will erase all settings, including WiFi information.
- Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on performing a factory reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
