Hi @MnM7608,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the settings on your HP All-in-One 2800 series printer and adjust the print settings for standard letter paper, follow these steps.
Resetting the Printer Settings
- Turn on the Printer: Ensure your printer is powered on and connected to your computer.
- Access the Control Panel:
- On the printer, press the Home button or Menu button (if applicable).
- Navigate to Setup (the wrench icon) using the arrow keys.
- Find Reset Options:
- Look for an option like Restore Factory Defaults or Reset All Settings.
- Select this option and confirm the reset. This will revert all settings to the original factory configuration.
Adjusting Print Settings
- Open the Document to Print: Open the document you want to print on your computer.
- Access Print Settings:
- Click on File and then Print.
- Select your HP printer from the list of available printers.
- Set Paper Size and Orientation:
- Click on Properties or Preferences.
- In the properties window, ensure the Paper Size is set to Letter (8.5 x 11 inches).
- Check the Orientation is set to Portrait (if that’s your preference).
- Adjust Scaling:
- Look for a setting that says Page Scaling or Fit to Page.
- Set it to None or Actual Size to print at normal size.
- Check Font Size:
- Make sure your document’s font size is set to your desired size in the document editor (e.g., Word, PDF reader).
- Print a Test Page: Once you’ve adjusted the settings, try printing a test page to ensure it prints correctly.
Note:
- If the prints are still not coming out correctly, consider updating the printer drivers from the HP Support website.
- Make sure the printer firmware is updated for the best performance.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
