Hi @CoCo322,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding updating firmware for the HP ENVY 5530 printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Connect Your Printer to a Network:

  • Make sure your printer is connected to a Wi-Fi network or via an Ethernet cable if it supports it. This can typically be done using the printer's control panel by pressing the Wireless button and following the setup process.

Check the Printer’s IP Address:

  • You will need the printer's IP address, which can be found by pressing the Wireless button on the control panel or printing a network configuration page.

Access Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Open a web browser on your computer and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar (e.g., http://192.168.0.x).

Locate Firmware Update:

  • Once connected to the Embedded Web Server's interface, navigate to the "Settings" tab.
  • Find the "Firmware Update" page in the Embedded Web Server.

Download and Install Firmware:

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the latest firmware updates.
  • Ensure your printer remains connected to the network during the update process.

I hope this helps.
