How do I know when the factory reset is completed. I followed the steps by hitting the back button 4 times and then made my selection to do a full partial reset. The system board is black, so I don't know if it has completed.

Hi @belder1626,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When performing a factory reset on an HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 series printer, the reset process should take a few minutes to complete.
However, since the system board display is black, you might not have a visual indicator to confirm when the reset is done.
Here are a few signs you can look for to determine if the factory reset is complete:
- Power Cycling: After initiating the reset process, the printer might automatically power off and then power back on again once the reset is complete. Listen for any sounds indicating that the printer is restarting.
- Wait Time: Give the printer some time to complete the reset. Depending on the model and the amount of data being cleared, it might take several minutes for the process to finish.
- Network Behavior: If your printer was connected to a network before the reset, you might notice that it's no longer connected after the reset is complete. This could indicate that the reset has finished.
- Print a Configuration Page: Once you suspect the reset is complete, you can print a configuration page to confirm. This page often provides details about the printer's settings and status. If the page prints successfully, it's likely that the reset process has finished.

I hope this helps.
