HP laser jet - how to change WiFi network?  My printer was originally set up, but T-Mobile changed my 5G modem and unfortunately the WiFi network had changed with it.

I can't print using wireless connection, HP Smart app on the computer shows only printer offline.

Did anyone encounter this issue?  Please help

thank you.

Hi @Joanna591,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When your Wi-Fi network changes, you'll need to reconnect your HP LaserJet M234dw printer to the new network. Here are the steps to do this:

Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • For printers with a touchscreen control panel: On the printer control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Setup menu. Select Network Setup or Settings, and then choose Restore Network Settings.

  • For printers without a touchscreen: Use the control panel buttons to restore Wi-Fi setup mode. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer simultaneously until the power button blinks.

Connect to Wi-Fi Using HP App:

  • Ensure your printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode (the Wireless light should be blinking).
  • Open the HP app on your computer or mobile device. If you are not already signed in, log in with your HP account.
  • In the app, click Add Printer. The app will search for printers in setup mode.
  • Once your printer is found, follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to your new Wi-Fi network. You will need to know the network name (SSID) and password.

Verify Printer Connection:

  • Once setup is complete, ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or device.
  • The Wireless light on the printer should be solid blue, indicating a successful connection to the network.

Test Printer:

  • Print a test page to ensure your printer is now connected to the new Wi-Fi network.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
