Hi @Butler6,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To connect your HP LaserJet Pro M148 printer to a Wi-Fi network, follow these steps.

Using the HP Smart App

Download and Install HP Smart App:

  • Go to the HP Smart website or the app store on your mobile device (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).
  • Download and install the HP Smart app.

Prepare the Printer:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and in a ready state.
  • Ensure the printer is not connected to any USB or Ethernet cable.

Connect to Wi-Fi:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new printer.
  • Select your printer model (HP LaserJet Pro M148).
  • The app will search for available printers. Select your printer from the list.
  • Follow the prompts to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. You will need to enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.

Using the Printer Control Panel

Prepare the Printer:

  • Turn on your printer and ensure it is in a ready state.
  • Ensure the printer is not connected to any USB or Ethernet cable.

Access Wireless Setup:

  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button (or the Wi-Fi icon).
  • Navigate to the Wireless Setup Wizard using the arrow buttons.

Connect to Wi-Fi:

  • The Wireless Setup Wizard will search for available networks.
  • Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
  • Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
  • The printer will attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi network. Once connected, a confirmation message will appear.

Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)

Prepare the Printer and Router:

  • Ensure both the printer and the wireless router support WPS.

Activate WPS on Printer:

  • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking. This indicates that WPS mode is active.

Activate WPS on Router:

  • Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your wireless router.
  • The printer will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network.

By following these methods, you should be able to connect your HP LaserJet Pro M148 to your Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
