How to reconnect to new internet conncetion my printer?

To connect your HP Ink Tank Wireless 516 printer to a new internet connection, follow these steps.

 

Using HP Smart App

Download HP Smart App:

  • Install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer. You can download it from the HP Smart app page.

Open HP Smart App:

  • Open the app and click on the + sign to add a new printer.

Set Up a New Printer:

  • Select Set Up a New Printer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Connect to Wi-Fi:

  • The app will guide you to connect your printer to the new Wi-Fi network. Ensure your device is connected to the same network.

Using Printer Control Panel

Turn On the Printer:

  • Ensure your HP Ink Tank Wireless 516 printer is powered on.

Access Wi-Fi Settings:

  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button or navigate to the Wi-Fi menu.

Activate Wi-Fi Setup Mode:

  • Press and hold the Wireless button until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking. This indicates that the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode.

Connect to Wi-Fi Network:

  • Use the touchscreen (if available) or follow the prompts to select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)

Turn On the Printer:

  • Ensure your printer is powered on.

Activate WPS Mode on Printer:

  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for 3 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking.

Activate WPS on Router:

  • Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router. The printer should automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Using USB Setup

Connect the Printer to Your Computer:

  • Use a USB cable to connect your printer to your computer.

Install Printer Software:

  • Download and install the printer software from the HP Support page.

Follow Setup Instructions:

  • During the setup process, the software will prompt you to connect the printer to a Wi-Fi network.

Disconnect USB Cable:

  • Once the Wi-Fi setup is complete, you can disconnect the USB cable.
