HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I am using Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw,I wish to use Direct WiFi method to connect the printer with my Mac book . My Mac book has detected  the network "DIRECT-f8-HP M183 LaserJet" at its Wifi network column,  but I need to input a password.

So how can I know what this password is ?

Thanks.

@AdWoN, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are trying to connect the devices via Wifi-Direct. This method is used if you do not have access to a personal wireless router.

Kindly refer to - HP printer setup (Wi-Fi Direct)

Note: There will be no internet connection on the computer while using this option.

The password could be 12345678 or print a wireless configuration report to know the password.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
