HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer

I had an E6 error so attempted to set my printer back to factory settings. I was able to clear the E6 error but not can't get connected back to the wifi.

I've tried:

Resetting printer

Resetting computer

Resetting router

Moving the printer next to the router and trying to connect via WPS

I removed it from Windows and tried to add it back. Went on HP Smart but it just shows it's not connected.

Anyone?

Hi @Vermonter2

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Use the Wireless button on the back of your printer to restore Wi-Fi setup mode.

On the back of the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for five seconds.

Note:

Your control panel might look different than the following example, but the steps are the same.

Example of pressing the Wireless button for five seconds

Wait for the Status light to turn purple.

Uninstall the HP smart app from your devices.

Note: If there are additional printers listed on the HP smart app, they will be deleted)

Restore network settings to default settings - Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel together for 5 seconds and release it. This would erase the old network from the printer and would put the printer in setup mode.

Post that, re-download the HP smart app on your phone, open the app, and click on add printer on top. Select your printer and follow the on-screen instructions to get your printer connected to the network.

Once successfully connected, the wireless light would turn solid blue.

Note: If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, try connecting to the 2.4 GHz band.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
