Hi @KMM1975,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you want to print a PDF file to your HP Photosmart C4795 printer, you need to connect your printer to your network and find its IP address. Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Connect Your Printer to the Network

Make sure your HP Photosmart C4795 printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. If it’s not already connected, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your printer and make sure it is in a ready state.
  2. Press the wireless button on the printer to access the wireless menu.
  3. Select "Wireless Settings" and then "Wireless Setup Wizard".
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

2. Find the Printer's IP Address

Once your printer is connected to the network, you can find its IP address in a few ways:

Method 1: Print Network Configuration Page

  1. Press the wireless button on your printer.
  2. Select "Print Network Configuration" or similar option. The network configuration page will be printed, and it will include the printer's IP address.

Method 2: Use Your Router's Web Interface

  1. Log in to your router's web interface. This is typically done by entering the router's IP address into your web browser.
  2. Navigate to the "Connected Devices" or similar section.
  3. Find your printer in the list of connected devices. The IP address should be listed there.

3. Add the Printer to Your Computer

Once you have the IP address, you can add the printer to your computer:

On Windows:

  1. Open Settings and go to Devices.
  2. Click on Printers & Scanners.
  3. Click on Add a printer or scanner.
  4. Wait for your printer to appear in the list, then select it and click Add device.
  5. If your printer doesn’t appear, select The printer that I want isn’t listed.
  6. Choose Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname.
  7. Enter the IP address of your printer and follow the on-screen instructions.

On macOS:

  1. Open System Preferences and go to Printers & Scanners.
  2. Click on the + button to add a new printer.
  3. Select IP at the top.
  4. Enter the IP address of your printer in the Address field.
  5. Fill in the other fields as necessary and click Add.

4. Print the PDF File

After successfully adding the printer to your computer, you can print the PDF file:

  1. Open the PDF file in your preferred PDF viewer (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Reader).
  2. Click on File and then Print.
  3. Select your HP Photosmart C4795 printer from the list of available printers.
  4. Adjust print settings as necessary and click Print.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
