Welcome to the HP Community --
As long as you really mean to print "labels" and not heavy 2-sided business cards, then yes - printer might do that.
Avery makes a lot of label papers -- they are generally suitable for this type of printer.
Labels comer in different paper sizes, too.
If the printer supports the unknown paper size (label sheet) and can handle the label sheets of unknown weight,
If printer is clean and generally ready to print,
If the Full Feature Software is installed,
If the software you are using to print the completed label template is appropriate for the task,
then
Yes, could work.

Printer - Tray and Paper
The printer must be made aware of the paper size and type that is loaded in the tray for the current job.
Paper size must be adjusted as appropriate.
Standard label paper might print using a paper type of "plain paper".
If the label paper is a bit thicker than standard 24lb paper, consider changing the paper type.
For example, available paper types (depending on your size of paper) might include
Thick, Brochure (matte or glossy), "other specialty papers"
EWS > HP Document / How-to
Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Reminder
HP Smart Mobile requires that paper size / type is adjusted before the content is opened to be printed.
Paper Size, Type, and Weight loaded in the printer tray must be supported for use in that tray.
EWS provides access and control to check / adjust Tray and Paper Settings.
Note
Depending on the printer model, the Printer Control Panel might provide access to Paper Size / Type settings immediately after the paper is (re)loaded into the appropriate printer intake tray.
