Hi @Skarma,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reset the Embedded Web Server (EWS) password for an HP Ink Tank 516 printer, you can follow these steps:
Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Make sure your printer is connected to your network.
- Open a web browser on a computer or device connected to the same network as your printer.
- Enter the printer's IP address in the address bar of your web browser and press Enter. You can find the printer's IP address by printing a network configuration page from the printer's control panel.
Enter EWS Username and Password:
- When prompted, enter the EWS username and password. By default, the username is "admin" and the password is "admin".
Navigate to Security Settings:
- Once logged in, navigate to the security settings or configuration section of the EWS. This may be located under a "Settings" or "Security" tab.
Reset EWS Password:
- Look for an option to reset the EWS password. The location of this option may vary depending on the printer model and firmware version. It may be labeled as "Change Password" or "Reset Password".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the password. You may be prompted to enter the current password and then create a new password.
Save Changes:
- After resetting the password, make sure to save the changes. There should be a "Save" or "Apply" button at the bottom of the page. Click on it to save the new password.
Test Access:
- Once the password has been reset, log out of the EWS and then log back in using the new password to ensure that it's working properly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
