Hi @Fredsdaughter,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you've forgotten the password for your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w printer, you can reset it to factory settings to erase the previous Wi-Fi credentials and password. Here's how:
Reset the Printer to Factory Settings:
Turn on the Printer: Ensure the printer is powered on and in a ready state.
Access the Reset Option:
- On the control panel, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 10-15 seconds.
- The printer will enter a reset mode and restart.
Wait for the Printer to Restart:
- The printer will power cycle and restore its default factory settings.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- Use the HP Smart App or the Wireless Setup Wizard on your computer or mobile device to reconnect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network.
- During setup, you can create a new password for the printer if prompted.
Reconnect Using HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart App on your computer or mobile device.
- Add the printer by selecting the "+" icon and following the prompts.
- When it asks for Wi-Fi credentials, provide the new network name and password.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I spent over 2 hours yesterday trying this. I got as far as the printer has a password (I still cannot remember) or the factory password from a sticker I also do not have.
It is so wrong I have a working printer that won't work due to a password.
Is there somewhere I can pay someone to fix this issue?
