HP DeskJet 2734e All-in-One Printer

How do I reset my HP Deskjet 2734e printer? My new  HP Deskjet 2734e printer was set up to a Wi-Fi network and printed. One day, it stopped printing. I found that the printer was no longer connected to the Wi-Fi network.  I may have accidentally removed the printer description from the Settings pages. How do I reset my HP Deskjet 2734e printer?

Hi @AlanGD,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

You can reset and reconnect your HP DeskJet 2734e printer to Wi-Fi by following these steps.

Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

  1. Turn on the printer and ensure it is in a ready state.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button (🔵) and the Cancel button () together for 5 seconds until the Power light starts flashing.
  3. This will restore the printer’s Wi-Fi setup mode, allowing you to reconnect to your network.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  1. Download and open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
    • Windows/macOS: Download HP Smart
    • iOS/Android: Install from App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Click on the “+” (Add Printer) button.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  4. If prompted, enter your Wi-Fi password.

Add the Printer Back to Your Computer

If you removed the printer from your settings, you need to re-add it:

For Windows:

  1. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Click Add a Printer and select your HP DeskJet 2734e.
  3. Follow the setup prompts.

For Mac:

  1. Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
  2. Click “+” to add a new printer.
  3. Select HP DeskJet 2734e and follow the setup steps.

After completing these steps, try printing a test page to ensure everything is working.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
