Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

So my printer has been fine ever since I have first had it and I have had it for over a year now give or take. But today it decided to stop working. It says it the Driver is unavailable when I looked into it, it says it is because it is offline. I did a scan report and it says it is online, the signal of the Wi-Fi is excellent. I am confused because when u try to print something it says it’s offline but then I’m being shown another thing saying it is online. This is very frustrating especially since I don’t use it all the time but only when I really need to print up some papers for work.

Hi @Juliet17,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue where your HP Envy 6065e printer is showing conflicting status messages. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

1. Restart Your Printer and Computer

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restart your computer as well. Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.

2. Check Printer Connections

  • Ensure your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. Sometimes the connection can drop, and you may need to reconnect it.
  • On the printer’s control panel, go to the Wi-Fi settings and ensure it's connected to the correct network.

3. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Go to the HP website and download the latest drivers for the HP Envy 6065e. Install them on your computer. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause connectivity issues.
  • Alternatively, you can uninstall the current drivers from your computer and then reinstall the new drivers.

4. Set the Printer as Default

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Find your HP Envy 6065e printer, right-click it, and select Set as default printer.

5. Check Printer Status

  • Ensure that your printer is not in an error state or paused. Go to Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select See what's printing. In the window that opens, make sure there are no documents stuck in the queue, and check if the printer status is set to "Online."

6. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • HP offers a free tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor that can automatically diagnose and fix common printing issues. You can download it from the HP website.

7. Check Your Network

  • Verify that your Wi-Fi network is stable and that other devices are able to connect to it without issues.
  • Sometimes network issues can affect how devices communicate with each other.

8. Reset Network Settings on the Printer

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the network settings and perform a network reset. Afterward, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

9. Check for Printer Firmware Updates

  • Sometimes updating the printer’s firmware can resolve issues. Check the HP website for any available firmware updates for your model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
