I've recently cancelled my ink cartridge subscription. Ever since my subscription,  I haven't been able to reinstall my printer to print from my Android 13 phone. While I had an ink subscription, I could install/reinstall my printer. My install stays on step 2, preparing the printer and won't go any further.

Hi @PattyD3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like there might be a few different factors at play here. Let's troubleshoot the issue step by step.

  • Check Printer Connectivity: Ensure that your HP Envy 6452e printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android 13 phone.
  • Restart Devices: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Restart both your printer and your Android phone, then try reinstalling the printer.
  • Reset Printer: If restarting doesn't work, you might want to try resetting your printer to its factory defaults. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website.
  • Check Android Compatibility: Confirm that your Android 13 phone is compatible with the HP Envy 6452e printer. Check the HP website or your printer's manual for compatibility information.
  • Clear Printer App Cache: If you're using a printer app on your Android phone, try clearing the app's cache and data. This can sometimes resolve issues with app functionality. You can usually do this through the app settings on your phone.
  • Reinstall Printer App: If clearing the app cache doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer app on your Android phone.

By following these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the issue and successfully reinstall your HP Envy 6452e printer for use with your Android 13 phone.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
