@Toootsie, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're trying to locate the 8-digit PIN from your router label to connect your HP OfficeJet 8015e printer to Wi-Fi. I’d be happy to help you with that.

What is the 8-digit PIN?

The 8-digit PIN is typically the WPS PIN (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) used to securely connect your printer to your wireless network without entering the Wi-Fi password manually.

Where to find it:

There are two common places to find this PIN:

1. On your router label

  • Look for a sticker on the back or bottom of your router.
  • It may be labeled as:
    • WPS PIN
    • PIN
    • Wireless PIN
  • It should be exactly 8 digits long.

2. On the printer’s control panel

If you can't find it on the router, you can generate a WPS PIN directly from your printer:

  1. On the printer control panel, tap the Wi-Fi icon or go to Network Settings.
  2. Select Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
  3. Choose PIN.
  4. The printer will display an 8-digit PIN on the screen.
  5. Enter this PIN into your router’s configuration page (usually accessed via a browser at 192.168.1.1 or similar).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
