When I hit the printer icon on an open document, the screen that come up no longer has a print button. It has been replaced with a download as a pdf button and I have no idea why or how to fix it. At this point I'm not able to print anything.

@Tweet0161, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the printing settings on your software or application, rather than directly with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 printer. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue:
Check Application Settings: Make sure you are using the correct application settings for printing. Sometimes applications may default to saving as PDFs instead of printing directly. Look for an option to change the output or printer in the application.
Ensure Printer is Set as Default:
- Go to your device's settings and ensure that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 is set as the default printer. This is often found under Printers & Scanners in the system settings.
Update Printer Driver:
- Ensure that your printer driver is updated. Go to HP's official website and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
Reinstall Printer Software:
- Sometimes reinstalling the printer software can resolve configuration issues. Uninstall the printer software from your computer and then reinstall it using the latest version available on HP’s website.
Check Network Connections:
- If your printer is connected via wireless, ensure that the printer is on the same network as your device. You can verify this under the printer settings.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
