I just had a new router installed and the printer will not connect to the router.
I need to enter the user name and password on the printer, which is an officejet pro 8035e.
It was working fine with the old router.

Hi @mh2984,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The username and password for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e printer are not typically found physically on the printer itself. Instead, you may need to access the printer's web interface or configuration settings to set up or modify these credentials. Here's how you can do it.
Access the Printer's Web Interface:
- Connect your computer or mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
- Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device.
Find the Printer's IP Address:
- You will need to find the printer's IP address to access its web interface. You can do this by printing a Network Configuration Page from the printer. To do this:
- On the printer's control panel, press the "Wireless" or "Network" button.
- Look for an option that says "Print Network Configuration Page" or something similar and select it. The page will contain the IP address.
Access the Printer's Web Interface:
- Open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar.
Login to the Web Interface:
- You should now see the printer's web interface. You may be prompted to enter a username and password.
- By default, HP printers often have no username and a default password of "admin" or "password." Try entering these and see if you can access the settings.
Change or Set Username and Password:
- Once you've logged in, navigate to the security or settings section to change or set the username and password to something more secure. It's important to have a unique username and a strong password to protect your printer.
Save Changes:
- After changing the username and password, be sure to save your changes.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
