Hi @emae43,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet Plus 4140 All-In-One Printer is displaying an error stating that the printer pin is invalid, and you are sure that the pin is correct, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Double-Check the Pin: Ensure that you have entered the correct pin. Check for any typos or mistakes in the pin code. It's also a good idea to verify that the pin you are entering corresponds to the specific printer model and ink enrollment process.

Restart the Printer: Power off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then power it back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches or communication issues.

Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Firmware updates may include bug fixes or improvements that could resolve the issue. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or the HP support website.

Verify Internet Connection: Make sure that your printer is connected to the internet. A stable internet connection is essential for the printer to communicate with the HP servers for ink enrollment.

Reset Printer Settings: You can try resetting the printer to its default settings. This can often be done through the printer's settings menu. Keep in mind that resetting settings may also erase custom configurations, so be sure to note any important settings before proceeding.

Check Ink Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed in the printer. If there are any issues with the ink cartridges, it may affect the enrollment process.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
