I can copy and scan but not print with my (wifi connected) hp deskjet 2600

The document shows up in the printer queue but no sign of life from the printer.

Scanning and copying work fine son no problem with neither wifi nor ink.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP DeskJet 2600 is connected to the Wi-Fi and can handle scanning and copying, but there is an issue with printing. Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the printing issue:

1. Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure that the printer is set as the default printer.
    • Open Settings on your Windows computer.
    • Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.
    • Check if the HP DeskJet 2600 is set as the default printer.

2. Clear Print Queue:

  • Sometimes, print jobs get stuck in the queue.
    • Open Printers & scanners.
    • Click on your HP DeskJet 2600 printer, and then click Open queue.
    • Right-click any print jobs and select Cancel.
    • Try printing again after clearing the queue.

3. Restart Print Spooler:

  • Restarting the print spooler service can sometimes help resolve printing issues.
    • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Locate Print Spooler in the list, right-click it, and select Restart.

4. Reinstall the Printer:

  • A fresh installation of the printer driver can fix any issues with communication between the printer and the computer.
    • Go to Printers & scanners in Settings.
    • Remove the printer, then reinstall it by clicking Add a printer or scanner and following the on-screen instructions.

5. Check the Printer’s Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Double-check that the printer is still connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
    • You can usually print a network configuration page from the printer’s menu to verify the connection.

6. Update Drivers:

  • Outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website to download the latest drivers for your HP DeskJet 2600.
